GB-CHC-285776-GME014CAFODOver the course of 2018 and 2019, Caritas MONA led a process to develop a new Strategy for the Middle East North Africa region. The process was participatory with 13 out of 14 members feeding in to a first draft which was presented to a meeting of bishops, representatives of Member Organsations (MOs) and funding partners in March 2019. Recommendations from this meeting were consolidated into the Strategy. Caritas MONA is the secretariat and co-ordinating body for the region and responsible for driving delivery of the Strategy. This project focuses on Strategic Objective 5. In line with the call of Pope Benedict XVI in Deus Caritas Est for Caritas Internationalis (CI) member organisations and staff to professionalise their work, Caritas MONA will work to strengthen their MOs' capacity, reinforce organisational skills, and improve the quality of partnership in a spirit of harmonious cooperation. The project will support training in CI management standards as well as provision of training and information materials.
