﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><iati-activities version="2.02" generated-datetime="2026-06-01T00:00:00"><iati-activity hierarchy="1" xml:lang="en" default-currency="GBP" last-updated-datetime="2026-06-01T00:00:00"><iati-identifier>GB-CHC-285776-WIN104</iati-identifier><reporting-org ref="GB-CHC-285776" type="21"><narrative>CAFOD</narrative></reporting-org><title><narrative>Contribution to Caritas Antilles EA35/2017 - Hurricane Irma/Maria Response</narrative></title><description><narrative>The EA response aims to assist an estimated 4,626 households (2,426 in Dominica and 2,200 in Tortola) vulnerable hurricane effected families through the provision of cash disbursements. In Tortola, through a single delivery platform for cash assistance, Caritas Antilles will be partnering with the British Virgin Islands (BVI) Red Cross to support all identified vulnerable households in the British Virgin Islands in need of immediate housing replacement items and support with basic needs following the devastation of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. 

The strategic objectives and outcomes are:

Strategic Objective #1 Hurricane affected families meet their basic household needs to begin recovery: 2,960 vulnerable households receive cash to purchase basic needs in local markets.

Strategic Objective #2: Hurricane affected families live in safe, temporary shelters until they are able to transition to more durable shelters. (Dominica only): 760 households receive materials, tools and training for building emergency shelters; 80% of households demonstrate key techniques for building emergency shelters. 2,280 people have access to emergency shelter solutions within 6 months. 

Strategic Objective #3: Hurricane affected families live in a safe, sanitary environment.
